The Redmi Note 7 Pro was first released on February 2019 and when it was first launched, it was the budget phone with the best camera. Today, after more than 1 year and 7 months, I’ll walk you through a Redmi Note 7 Pro Camera Review and Tips to boost to its camera.
Redmi Note 7 Pro was my go to smartphone last year from March to August and it didn’t disappoint me.
Is it still good?
As a person who focuses mainly on value for money, I think it can still compete with 2020’s budget smartphones.
And though it’s an old phone now, you can get it under 10,000 Rupees. And the best part is, the phone will get MIUI 12 and an Android 10 update soon. When it first launched, it was sold for more than 15,000.
How about the camera?
Redmi Note 7 Pro has a 48MP AI rear camera with Sony IMX586 camera sensor + 5MP. No other phone at this price range had the same camera features. In fact, it was regarded as a budget smartphone camera beast back then.
Taking Pictures and Videos
The Redmi Note 7 Pro can still get you a decent picture with a good quality. The camera application is quite good but I would recommend you to use Google Camera for the best results. On the first day of purchasing the phone, I installed the Google camera and I was quite satisfied with the results it gave.
I do not use Redmi Note 7 Pro anymore but this phone still has a soft spot in my heart.
Is it worth buying now?
Yes!! Without a doubt.
If your budget is under 16k, I would definitely recommend you this mobile as this will surely get most of the job done for you.

Redmi Note 7 Pro Camera Tips
Now that you’ve read my review, here are the best tips to boost the performance of your Redmi Note 7 Pro Camera.
Let’s see what this mobile phone is still capable of doing even after more than 1.7 years of its first release.
1. Make the best use of 48MP Camera
The most important feature of Redmi Note 7 Pro was it’s 48 Megapixel Camera. With this, you will be able to capture a more detailed pictures. There’s a huge difference between an image taken from a normal camera and a 48 MP. So make sure to try this.
2. Utilizing the AI Camera
If you don’t want to do the setting like adjusting exposure or brightness level by yourself, this feature comes in handy. You just hit the AI option and your phone will handle everything for you.
3. Take short videos for Insta stories
The phone also has a feature that lets you take a short 15 seconds video which you can use on you insta story. If you’re someone who use Instagram on a daily basis, it will surely help you in many ways.
4. Use Google Camera and be surprised!
While the stock camera application is also not bad, it’s just a baby when compared to a feature rich Google Camera. You can download the app here.
With the Google Camera, your picture quality will be a lot better with more accurate colours. You will also be able to shoot the video because the app will stabilize the video to a great extent. It also has a night shift mode which can let you capture the best night shots from a smartphone.
